Starlights Dance Academy is a welcoming and inspiring dance studio in beautiful downtown Rutland, Vermont offering a variety of classes for all student levels from beginner through advanced.
Our studio's mission is to foster creativity, friendship and fun through dance.
Open Houses and Registration days are offered prior to Fall Season. This is an opportunity to meet instructors, tour the studio, and obtain information regarding studio offerings.
About the Owner
Sheila McCutcheon has been dancing her whole life. She has been on stage since the age of 3. She has taught dance for the past 20 years and opened and co-owned Born to Dance Studio from May 2019 to July 2022. She is now the sole owner of Starlights Dance Academy in Rutland, Vermont.
Dancing is her passion, and she is trained in many different styles of dance including Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical and Contemporary.
Through dance, Sheila has participated in a variety of community activities and fundraisers including The Really Big Show to benefit the United Way of Rutland County for the past 18 years, Dancing with the Rutland Stars to benefit Pediatric High Tech Services for Rutland Area Visiting Nurses Association and the Lip Sync Battle to Benefit Wonderfeet Kids Museum.
In addition, Sheila has served as a committee member of the Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce, Everybody Wins Reading Mentor Program, the Downtown Rutland Partnership and as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for the past 15 years.
