Here you will find detailed information about our end of year showcase! We can't wait to see you on the big stage! 

The Important Stuff.....

DATE:  Saturday May 18th, 2024

TIME:  1:00PM

PLACE:  - The Paramount Theatre
                      Center Street Rutland, VT

                                                                        (across from the studio!)

Before Arrival

* Please be sure ALL your child's costumes AND shoes are labeled with their name!

 

* Costume accessories and shoes can be put in a zip lock bag and labeled with your child's name so we can keep track of everyone's items. 

* Please be sure your dancer has all the correct shoes and tights for their routines. (See below for requirements) 

* Please be sure dancers have their own water bottle (labeled with their name!) and some dry, non-messy snacks.     

          *Please NO PEANUTS**

* Please take costumes out of bags and be sure they are free of wrinkles. a steamer or hanging costumes in a steamy bathroom works well for this. 

* Please be sure dancers remove nail polish, dangly earrings, and hair ties from their wrists. 

Dress Rehearsal

Dress rehearsal will be Friday May 17th at the Paramount.

We will have a CLOSED rehearsal for students and staff only per requirements of the Paramount.  

ALL dancers will need to arrive by 3:30 PM with hair and make up done. 

We will have a staff member waiting outside the paramount door for your convenience.  You may pull up in front of the paramount to drop your dancer off. 

Monday's babies classes - Dancers can be picked up at 6:00PM. Please park and enter the lobby of the paramount. 

All other dancers can be picked up at 9:30PM. Please park and enter the lobby of the paramount. 

Arrival

All dancers will need to arrive to the Paramount by 12:00PM with hair and make-up done. (See below for requirements)

Costumes are not to be worn outside of the theatre, so please do not send dancers to the show in their costumes. 

Please check in at the main lobby upon arrival

We will require a guardian for each dancer to sign their dancer in upon arrival and leave a name and cell number before exiting the dressing room.

We ask that same guardian reports to the same dressing room promptly at the end of the show to sign their dancer back out. 

We will have staff in each dressing room to help with costume changes and childcare so you can enjoy the show!

Hair & Makeup

HAIR -  

Needs to be slicked back out of face into a bun with a bun donut and a hairnet covering the bun. (Hairnets and bun donuts can be found at any local drugstore or Walmart)  If your child has shorter hair, please make sure it is secured back out of their face. (This includes competition team dancers)

MAKEUP - 

Please have dancers' wear: purple eye shadow, red/pink blush, mascara, and red lipstick so our stage lights don't wash out our beautiful dancers! 

Shoes

Ballet classes - Pink ballet flats

Tap classes - Black tap shoes

Jazz classes - Tan slip on shoes

Lyrical - Tan canvas lyrical shoes

Hip Hop - Beginner class - White Sneakers

             Intermediate class - Black Sneakers 

Acro - Barefoot - Must have stirrup style tights. 

Pointe - Pink ballet pointe.

If you need any of the above shoes, we recommend visiting Bodygears on Woodstock Ave. Just let them know you are from Starlights and which class(es) you need shoes for. Mary can take it from there! 

Tights 

All dancers will need to wear tights with their costumes. 

Ballet classes are required to wear "ballet pink" footed tights.

Prepoint/Pointe - Seamed ballet pink tights

All other classes will need flesh colored "stirrup" tights.

(Ms. Britts Monday's babies class ONLY needs ballet pink tights for both dances)

These can also be purchased at Bodygears. 

Tickets and More! 


Tickets are available through the Paramount Theatre. 

Showcase tee's, Program shoutouts, and floral bouquets are available on our Starlights website store. 

We are so incredibly PROUD of all our dancers. They have worked so hard all year, and we are excited to have them perform for you!
